The History of Ambient Media
Ambient Media has been part of the Bay Area music scene since 1993. The primary soundstage studio is located 11 miles north of San Francisco in San Rafael. Our 800 square foot live room is acoustically tunable for a variety of needs, from neutral to very wooden and lively.
In the spring of 2002 we embarked on a rebirth of the acoustic space. It now features fluid steel rail mounted walls, an array of tunable isolation rooms, and tunable production areas.
In March of 2003, the innovative new continuously variable mix room was introduced. It includes all new tunable wave guide acoustics for versatility. This accommodates film scoring, mastering, and muti-track recording sessions with equal capability. Continuously variable room dimension adjustments allow for setting multiple SMART based EQ presets for optimization of different applications.
For 2008 we got back to our roots with more gadgets, axes, and a sweet new DW Pacifica maple recording drum rig with more than all the trimmings and a great set of cymbals.
